Windows 7 on Netbook
The comments would not stop pouring in of the alleged "flaws" of Windows 7 on the Netbook. Netbook users are making accusations that Microsoft has gone back on its promise made to Vista users, to provide a major upgrade for the OS. The latest controversial study comes from Retrevo and was recently released.
Retrevo, which is a consumer electronic shopping site, claims that based on responses from over 1,100 users, netbook users are not happy with their experience so far with Windows 7. They claim users with Windows 7 Starter Edition running on their netbook are completely perplexed by the fact that there are no desktop personalization nor is there a DVD playback feature. It is also crippling with no multi-monitor support.
So is Microsoft worried about this? Maybe no. The fact is business will be better for Microsoft without a Netbook market because it put a serious dent in the company’s windows client margin.
