Google Wave

Google is at it again, this time with a bomb that would revolutionize social networking and possibly set an enviable standard. Google has kicked off the first stage of launching Google wave, its social networking site, by inviting 100,000 people for the testing phase. These people are those that registered for the testing phase earlier on. Each of these people can, in turn, invite about five friends to join in the testing. Google wave, currently, is only available in English. According to the official press release, other versions for major international languages will be available by the end of this year.

Google wave is an online tool, that when made available internationally, will help change the way we communicate via instant messaging, and video. It promises a wiki style editing and a better email technology to suit our fast moving world.

Google wave is set to change the social networking platform. This is obviously a potential threat to social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and others.
