How Many Registry Errors Do I Have?

Click Here to Run a Scan for Registry Errors

If you're not a technically minded person, you may have a hard time grasping exactly what registry errors are and how to find out how many registry errors your PC has. We take a look at these in a bit more detail.

What is the Windows Registry?

By understanding just what the Windows Registry does, you will find it easier to get a clear vision what registry errors are and why you may have a lot of them.

Here's a formal definition, courtesy of Wikipedia:

"Windows registry is a hierarchical database that stores configuration settings and options on Microsoft Windows operating systems."

This database is changed everytime you install or remove an application. In practical terms, every time you're using your computer, the Registry is getting cluttered up with new information.

Do registry errors affect the performance of my computer?

They do. The more you use your computer, the more the registry clutters and slows down your PC. This is even more noticable if your hardware is starting to get dated as well.

Our Recommendation

We have reviewed many registry cleaners to see how they performed. We recommend Registry Booster as the best way to find out how many registry errors you have.
