 Question

i don't know anything about computers and i just started college. can anyone point me in the right direction for which desktop i need? and is there a security package that's better than others?

 Answer

 Hey jennylynn,

Unless you are in a field that requires a top of the line computer (computer engineering, digital design, graphic design, etc), I would recommend a middle of the line computer from any of the top manufacturers (Dell, HP, etc). These will be good enough to run email, word processing, web browsers, and more for your time in school. When it comes to security, as long as you have an anti-virus program that updates often, you should be ok. Most new computers will come with an anti-virus program. Also, most colleges will offer free anti-virus software as well. You can ask in your college's store about this.
