What is it
The ctfmon.exe process is a process belonging to Microsoft Office Suite. It activates the Alternative User Input Text Input Processor (TIP) and the Microsoft Office XP Language Bar.

Ctfmon.exe has also been found to be a Trojan in some instances. If you see multiple ctfmon.exe processes running, then you may have a trojan.

Recommendation
This is a non-critical process, but if it is not causing problems it should be left enabled.
